Two of the Best Viewpoints of Qingdao
I think most of the people like to stand in the top of hill and be amazed by unique views you can get from there. The viewpoint may be outdoors or indoors in a nice restaurant with the city literally below our feet. Qingdao is a city with several viewpoints along its beaches. During my few trips to Qingdao I have been able to visit some of these outstanding places where you can take a glance to Qingdao’s beaches, hills, buildings, streets, people, and more. One of my favorite viewpoints is a pagoda placed on the top of a small hill. There are places to sit and feel the breeze in a quiet morning or sunset. Another popular place to go is in larger park on the top of a higher hill with a fountain and pavilions.

This small pagoda is on the top of a small hill, but from here you can get one of the best views of Qingdao. Definitely one of my favorite places in the city.

This is one of the several views you get from the top of the pagoda. As you can see in this picture, it was cloudy, but it never rained.

After chatting with two Korean girls, I asked one of them to take a picture of me with the city in the background. I came out of focus on the picture.

This is the other pavilion in the same park. At the center and in the background you can see the television tower of Qingdao.

This pavilion is ideal for a small family picnic, friends gathering or a romantic dinner. All with the nice view of the city.

This is the other viewpoint I would like to share. It is a park located on the top of a higher hill. I took this picture from the pagoda.

This park has several spots from which the city can be viewed. From here, for example, you can see the pagoda I had previously visited.

Here is another viewpoint. It is on a place called the Signal Mountain Park. According to history, the Germans occupied the city from 1891 to 1914 and during that time they used this place as a signaling station.

The main tower in the park has a small rotating store from where you can buy some drinks and snacks, sit down and enjoy a 360 degrees view.

Each married couple puts a heart-shaped lock pad as part of a local tradition. It is believed here that by doing it your marriage will last forever. Eternal families? This remind me of something. Some of you may know what I’m thinking of.

The main dragon of the fountain and the city and ocean in the back. It would have been better if it hadn’t been so cloudy.
End of post.
